IMMARBE mandates an age limit of 30 years for boats registered in Belize. Peter Hughes' web site and the IMMARBE Report state that the Wave Dancer was built in 1975. Documentation from SalvageSale.com has the boat constructed in 1972.

If the Wave Dancer was nearing the end of her useful life in Belize was that the reason that maintenance and equipment on her was allegedly neglected?
