Meeting begin with introduction of new members. Poker Run at Lake Phoenix announced Saturday, September 22 at 1200p.m. Nominating committee for 2019 officers hasn't form yet Holly, club president asked for volunteers. Several Mile stones achieved depths and number of dives. Debi Moir shared about the dolphin program she took part in with a group.
Corporate sponsors recognized encouraged to support. Tri-City dive shop shared upcoming scuba trips. Club finances look good with
Plaque in draft form for replacement at Lake Phoenix in October.
Members reminded to share dive pictures on website. Let Mike know if you have any ideas for surface interval activities. 9/16 diver day cancelled with possible reschedule in October with replacement of the plaque.
State of the club update report by club president.
Sportable member Josh provided sporting opportunities for individuals with physical and visual disabilities.
Athletes pay $15.00 a month. Organization provide members with equipment through grants and donations. 12 sports are offered to include rowing, cycling, lacrosse etc., youngest athlete is 3 oldest 78.
Speaker talked about how active his life was before his accident. Sportable has allowed him to enjoy his life again. Volunteers are the blood of their organization. Training is offered in the sport you volunteer for. Several events and volunteer opportunities presented.
Watched brief video of volunteer organization Dive Heart adaptive scuba program. Josh with Sportable talked about starting a scuba program if club members are interested.
50/50 = $48.00 this evening. Headbands and a female tee-shirt were also given away.
